This is a question I ask often. Must be the Italian in me loving to hear what people have for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You can learn a lot about a person knowing what they eat.
Tito the doorman: chicken pizza, extra scamotz with a medium coke. Doesn’t take much to please him.
My pal Ed: a thrombosis sandwich and coffee with half and half (fried egg, bacon and cheese on a roll.) He and his stomach, live on the edge.
Camille: carrot sticks, three almonds and a martini. You can never be too thin or too thin.
Max across the hall: lox on a bagel with cream cheese, extra onion and capers. And he wonders why he can’t get a date.
Al the plumber: veal Parmesan with a side order of tortellini, fried calamari to start with three carafes of red (and a heart surgeon).
Tallulah the Bishon: anything you have on hand including leather, mustard and gum. I’m a dog after all.
Susannah: an apple with peanut butter, a Pop-Tart, a bag of Lays, M&Ms, and a shot of vodka over ice.
A woman of a certain age who’s leaving her stomach to science.

Funny! I could live on a bag of chips and sour patch kids candy for three days…I told H when I’m working and he’s ready to eat he better fix it himself or come get me to go out. I get busy and eating is the last thing on my mind. ~Elle

Like Feuerbach said “der Mensch ist was er isst”. I had chicken thighs in a cream and tarragon sauce, washed down with St Peter’s IPA. (not long for this world).

I can’t see her going for “geisha”; maybe “principessa” instead.

It must be an Italian thing , I ask people the same all the time . Broccoli Rabe on Italian bread ,sautéed in olive oil , loads of garlic . I can recall the first time having it for a late morning snack at about 4 yrs old . My mom ” I want you to try this , tell me if you like it ” I had it yesterday so all these years later the later the answer is a definite yes mom .

I’m not a fan. Find it bitter, but like broccoli just sautéed in olive oil and lemon with a little garlic. Girl needs to keep her social life going.

Susannah, I could live on jelly candy and shrimp. I should open a diner and serve jelly candied shrimp over a bed of gummi worms. Guess I wouldn’t stay in business too long.

I forgot to mention that I’ve been absent because I was out of town with two cousins for four days. One cousin lives in Cape May, so we stayed with her and visited Atlantic City, Wildwood, and Stone Harbor.

Hahahaha! It’s never “How was the party?” it’s always “What did they serve?” Gives the term food porn a whole new meaning.
