Friends of mine invited me to Sagamore Hill to visit Teddy, as in Roosevelt, but alas, declined, due to my recent health issue.  But boy, if there was ever a time I need to talk to him, it’s now.

This North Korea business has me very nervous.  I truly don’t think our dear president, who should have his phone confiscated, should be playing, Whose Dick is Bigger, with Kim Jong,  since it’s probably a sore spot to begin with, considering he looks 12.

I don’t want to criticize our esteemed (in theory) president, but…WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH HIM?

You don’t have to be a Harvard grad to get it.  Did we learn nothing from the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis?  What’s it going to take…exhuming Teddy?  All I know is, a dead TR at the moment, would make me feel a whole lot safer, than a Tweeting Donald Trump.

But that’s just me.

  1. I was watching the UN speech go from “ok; this seems somewhat normal. Apparently, someone else wrote it, but that’s ok I’ll take it.” To standing in front on my TV screaming “shut the fuck up, do it now, please just stop, ZIP IT!” I just do not understand how a team of normalcy doesn’t jump in and grab all communication devices from his reach? I can only imagine what goes down at the secret service headquarters. “Ok, let’s pretend the baby is reaching for the electrical socket with a fork…..”

  3. It’s very nerve-wracking. I don’t want to think what would have happened if Trump had been president during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He doesn’t know how to de-escalate things.

    • And you’re a smart guy, why do you think that’s so? JFK, was so concerned about the children. He said to Jackie, and I’ll paraphrase,”we’ve had our lives…what about all the children?” Trump, though he has his own, doesn’t seem the least bit concerned. It truly throws me.

He’s severely narcissistic. He thinks of himself and always wants to “win”.

      • I had a shrink who always said….before you act, run the whole tape. He should read the book, 13 Days, by Bobby Kennedy about the hell they went through trying to stave off nuclear war with the Russians. It’s mind blowing. Even the film is worth seeing. The term, dodged a bullet, takes on all new meaning. Nice hearing from you by the way…:)

  4. My opinion is no better than anyone else’s; however, I don’t agree. As I have said on my blog site or FB somewhere, I prayed for the best person to become president; whoever we needed the most. I went ahead and voted as I felt, but I had to accept that Hillary could win and I would need to try and see her as the best choice. That isn’t what happened and I truly believe President Trump needs to be right where he is. I don’t like this NK situation at all. I believe Kim Jong to be a sociopath and a narcissist on a very high level. I believe President Trump to have some narcissistic tendencies. But, I also believe that’s what Kim needs; someone to buck him. If we end up in nuclear war, we all lose, POTUS knows that; he really does. Kim J. may or may not realize what will, ultimately, happen. He may not care. But, in the end, I believe things will work out. It’s just my way.

His arrogance is breathtaking. Just when I thought he couldn’t stoop any lower, he’s plumbing new depths. The only good news is that his tweets leave the rest of the world well informed of what we’re up against. Donald’s feeble attempts to demonise Kim just show that they’re a perfectly matched pair.

Kim Jong is a psycho who needs to be treated gently with kid gloves, just like you’d treat any other severely mentally ill person. Unfortunately he’s in charge of N. Korea. Reminds me of nut cases in charge of Rome.

No, it’s not just you. My fear is that we will all pay dearly for this battle of egos and arrogance, Trump is treating the world stage like a TV show.

    • I’m not very politically minded as a rule, but do read a lot. And no one was more arrogant than Bobby Kennedy, but if you read his slim book, 13 Days, the diplomacy during the Cuban Missile Crisis was vast, considering the delicacy of the situation. Cut to, over 50 years later, and this Korean business makes that look like a mere misunderstanding. Trump scares me. He does. He’s a hawk who scares the other hawks.
