Best Story of the Week…January 14th

I’m on my way home through the Park, midday, when I see a handsome man maybe in his 40s, walking a beautiful dog.

A mutt you’d call her, since she’s clearly a mix, legs of a Greyhound with the face of a yellow Lab, a tail wagging like a pendulum.

As I approach, he stops to kneel, giving her the biggest hug. But what really moves me is when she puts her two front paws onto his shoulders to what looks as if, she’s hugging him back.

When the guy sees me watching, I put my hand over my heart and smile.

Over the dog’s shoulder, he mouths the words, I love her.

It made my day. 🙂

    Aw! How touching.

    We’ve got dog love in our house now. We invited Sadie to live with us for a while. She belongs to our son’s love, and she needed more attention than Rose could give her right now. I adore watching John $ play with her, because he loves her dearly.

    Our two know how to milk an audience too. We can’t go anywhere without they attract a crowd of adoration. Great, unless you’re in a hurry to be somewhere.

    It’s that love you feel for your furry kid, that nothing in the world can take away. I spoil the cats with kisses even when they ain’t in the mood. But they give me so much more.
