It’s where I came from.
Don’t forget your mask.

Yes, so perfect, Susannah. And what a great suggestion for a gift. Have a wonderful doggy party! I can’t wait to hear about it.
My 6 yr old grandson and I took turns reading ‘Go Dog, Go’ yesterday. I’m picturing the ending with I giant dog party.

It’s a real mood changer, I know, and he’s the sweetest dog. Has had a rough time since he was a puppy in his Shepherdom. He’s got the personality of Cocker Spaniel whose feeling get hurt easily. Hitler ruined their reputations. So unfair.

My son has a German Shepherd that was a rescue dog. She is the sweetest, most gentle dog I’ve ever come across.
Enjoy the party!

Love hearing that. I’ll tell Jack. 🙂

How thoughtful of Jack to have a party that gives to the Humane Society. Definitely a kind shepherd. Have a good time celebrating your friend.

It has been years since I visited NYC and the lovely spot in Central Park. May you know that u will be there in spirit from Alaska.

It is a pretty spot. I can see why Jack’s mom chose it. 🙂

He is lucky to have friends around. I am sure his heart is breaking.

I think you’re mixing Jack up with Bud, Lou’s brother. Jack lives in the building next to mine. I’ve known him since he was a puppy. He didn’t know the two Irish Setters.

They make your coat shine and your tail wag. 😉

So that’s why my tail’s been wagging. 🙂

It’s that divine circle that waits not and wants for nothing. But to it we can always allow ourselves to be taught the value of the time we’re given. Thing is, we have to be fully accountable and open to the idea that we’re just renting.
Here’s to the invitations that let us know it’s gonna be alright.

I too think it was a wink from above, since it put a huge smile on my face. I’m wondering though, if due to the frigid temperatures Jack and his Mistress may reschedule. It’s 19 degrees with matching wind. sigh

Yeah maybe that would be best. Say . . . June.

You said it since, it’s now 17. Mother Nature needs to take her meds.

Joyeux anniversaire ‘Susanne’…
I don’t think I can make it what with planes, masks, visas and all.
But you just made my day. I love that particular spot in Central Park. Been too long since I’ve been to New York. What a shame.
Having said that, as Brits say: ‘Many, many happy returns of the day’ 🎂

Our canine soiree has been postponed because of the Arctic temperatures that have taken over the city. I spoke to Jack’s mom over the phone, and her biggest dilemma is the cake of a very large biscuit she had specially made for the occasion. I suggested, she freeze it, but apparently it’s just too big for her freezer. I then said, slice it up in baggies, and leave them downstairs and we’ll all pick one up. I even offered to write notes for Jack, to leave with each one. I have a zillion cards, so that’s what we’re going to do…
Hi everyone, I’m so sorry the party is cancelled, but I’m leaving you all a little gift from me with my doorman. Stay warm, Love Jack. Only in New York…only in New York. 🙂

It was, but spring is coming I told Jack when I saw him, those big brown eyes looking sad. Of course that was my own spin, my writer penning a weepy ending.

Many people think writers can chose the ending at will. No ma’am… The story and the ending impose themselves…

This is true, and it’s never what you initially thought would ever happen.

Absolutely. On some stories I wrote, I desperately tried to change the ending. No dice. Didn’t work…

It was postponed due to weather. A dubious disappointment.
